Tyler Woods

Postdoctoral Fellow

Tyler Woods earned his BA in Sociology (magna cum laude with Distinction in Research and Creative Works) from Rice University and his AM and PhD in Sociology from Harvard University. He is interested in job quality, dignity, and well-being in the U.S. service sector, and his research has appeared in journals such as Work and OccupationsSSM-Mental Health, and RSF: The Russell Sage Foundation Journal of the Social Sciences. Prior to graduate school, Tyler worked as a research analyst at the Urban Institute’s Center on Labor, Human Services, and Population, where he conducted research on the social and economic well-being of low-income working families.
