Shift Alumni
Joshua Choper is a postdoctoral researcher at Bocconi University. He holds a PhD in Sociology from University of California, Berkeley and a BA and MPP from the University of Chicago. His research examines the relationship between economic inequality, intragenerational mobility, and labor market dynamics. His current projects consider how local labor market structures shape inequalities in lifecycle earnings trajectories and economic mobility after job loss, work scheduling inequalities in the US service sector, and the relationship between rising income inequality and the emergence of the gig economy.
